Everyone is encouraged to trade their cars for bikes and participate in the Sioux City metropolitan area’s Bike to Work Day event on Friday, May 21, 2021. Bike to Work Day is part of a national effort, endorsed by the U.S. Department of Transportation and promoted by the League of American Bicyclists, to highlight the benefits of bicycling, and to prove to people that it is feasible to leave the car at home for some commutes
Bike to Work Day activities include a commuter breakfast from 7:00-9:00 am starting at Albrecht Cycle (200 5th Street) where a ‘drive-by’ breakfast will be served. T-shirts are available at Albrecht Cycle for $20.00. During the day there will be opportunities to win prizes, as well as dining and drink specials at participating downtown businesses. To redeem Bike To Work Day specials, participants are encouraged to wear their Bike to Work Day T-shirt or present their helmet to businesses.
Register HERE to participate in Bike to Work Day, and you will be entered in a drawing to win prizes! Participants are encouraged to share their experiences and photos on social media using the hashtag #SCBike2Work.
Downtown businesses interested in participating in B2WD by creating a special, can sign up by filling out the form HERE.
Thank you in advance for participating in Bike To Work Day!
