An SBA Certified Development Corporation for the purpose of helping small business to package financial assistance in business expansion and creation. SEDC operates a revolving loan fund that provides gap financing at rates that are 2% below bank rates on a fixed term up to 10 years. Loans are available with 10% down for a maximum of $100,000.

The Iowa Small Business Development Center (SBDC) conducts research, counsels, and trains business people in management, financing, and operating small businesses, and provides comprehensive information services and access to experts in a variety of fields. The SBDC is the only nationally accredited entrepreneurial development program in Iowa and receives guidance and funding from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
