The Risk it Took to Blossom – Inspired by “Risk” a poem by Anaïs Nin

“And then the day came, when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” – Risk by Anaïs Nin

Calling all women in need of some love and community! Let’s come together in circle and sit in our stuff for 90 minutes. We’ll laugh, we may cry, and we’ll heal. This month’s offering is all about blossoming and the courage it takes to get there. Whether you’ve already blossomed and need a much needed reminder of the incredible strength you possess or if you’re in the process of blossoming and need the nudge to move forward. We’ve got you. This circle is for YOU. There’s no right or wrong person for circle. Come with an open heart and a willingness to grow. It’s been two months too long since we’ve gathered in circle, and I can’t wait to see you all. I’ll see you soon!

About Amber Smith:

Hi! My name is Amber, and I’d like to tell you a bit about myself. I am the owner of Erstwhile Studios, LLC, which I formed back in August of 2018. I’m an established Reiki Master Teacher, Practitioner, Professional Oracle Card Reader, Intuitive, Certified Wild Woman Project Circle Leader, Body Positive Advocate, and a soon to be Body Inclusive Yoga Teacher.
That’s the professional jazz, but what about who I am as a person? I’m no nonsense when it comes to my intuition and the spaces I hold. I tend to call bullshit when people say they’re doing “fine”, when I can feel it’s deeper than that. I’m a force to be reckoned with when I’m angry and an amazing person to have in your corner when you need a friend. As a practitioner & leader, I actually care about my clients and students. Like deeply into my core, I just want to help and I’m extremely passionate about what I do and the people I meet.

As far as my abilities to lead the women who show up to my circles… You can count on a bit of squirrel brain. You’ll hear at least two random stories that may or may not have anything to do with our theme. I’ll almost always admit that I am a hot mess, but I’ll also tell you I’m done apologizing for it. I’ve created a beautiful community of women who show up and take up space because it’s medicine for their souls. When you come to one of my circles you get to take a peek into my kind of self-care. I laugh louder than most, I love deeply, and I’m still a bit broken. Slowly picking up the pieces with each new friend I make is exactly what helps me heal. I do these circles for me. I do them because they matter and I don’t know about you, but I desperately need community in my life.

So that’s me. If it’s not your jam, no hard feelings. But if it resonates with you, I hope to see you a circle in the very near future!

What is The Wild Woman Project?

The Wild Woman Project, founded by Chris Maddox in 2012, is at once a philosophy (an invigorating approach to life as a wondrous, often messy, creative project) & a growing movement of courageous, creative, heart centered (often weird & wonderful) women on a mission to remember, to reimagine what it means to be a woman – untamed.

What is our Mission?
To awaken women to their most authentic, undomesticated nature, so they may feel like themselves, all the time, no apologies.
