Downtown Sioux City’s first ever “Gays Eating Garlic Bread” street festival is set to take place on August 10, 2024. Taking place on 4th & Virginia Streets, this unique event promises a day of fun, flavor, and philanthropy, with all proceeds benefiting local flood recovery efforts. Grab your favorite blankets and lawn chairs and come on down!
“Gays Eating Garlic Bread” is a celebration of community and generosity. A diverse lineup of live music is in store throughout the evening, local and regional artists will showcase and sell their work in a special art pop-up, exciting raffle prizes and auction items will be up for grabs, with all proceeds going to flood recovery.
Garlic bread will take center stage, of course, but a variety of other food and beverage vendors will also be in attendance, serving up vegan options, cupcakes, fresh mocktails and much more.
The festival will feature special family hours from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a welcoming environment and fun activities for all ages. Chalk the streets, enjoy a selfie station, and show some love!
From 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM, the atmosphere will shift to a lively evening of local music, and a free drag show delivering a dazzling grand finale performance in the evening.
All shows are 18+.
All are welcome, you do not have to be gay to enjoy garlic bread!
