The Siouxland Chamber of Commerce along with the Siouxland Interstate Metropolitan Planning Council, also known as SIMPCO will be joined by Siouxland District Health Department, Downtown Partners, and the City of Sioux City to host the Sioux City Metro Bike to Work Day on Friday, May 16th.
On Bike to Work Day, trade your automobile for your bicycle and ride all the way to work-or if that’s not possible, bring your bike to work, unload it, and explore some of our tri-state trails. Either way, stop by the Siouxland Chamber Commerce for a complimentary breakfast and visit with health and fitness vendors and take part in a chance to win door prizes. Breakfast will be served at the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce parking lot at 101 Pierce Street from 6:30 AM – 8:30 AM. T-shirts are available for purchase at the Siouxland Chamber for $10 and will be available at the event.
Bike to Work Day is part of a national effort throughout the month of May to highlight the benefits of bicycling and to offer proof that it is feasible to leave the car at home for some of our commutes. We hope you’ll join us on Friday, May 16th, at the Siouxland Chamber parking lot located at 101 Pierce Street from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM!
