Wellness Center: 409 Pearl St, Yoga Studio: 1014 Design Pl, Sioux City, IA, United States, Iowa

In Andean spirituality, the entire month of August is devoted to Pachamama. She is referred to as both the physical planet Earth as well as the universal Feminine Energy. Her name literally translates as Pacha – meaning world, land, earth, universe; and Mama, meaning Mother. She is the Mother of the World.

Join us on August 8th as we honor and Bless our Mother through a community Despacho ceremony with our special Qero guests Don Juan Apaza Quispe and Dona Karina Davalos Concha.

A Despacho is a mandala style sacred creation that holds physical elements (flowers, grains, symbols of the earths elements) elevated into prayer form by the participants. As the elements are added to the despacho, the vibration of the participants and the room harmonizes. The despacho becomes a living prayer that brings energy shifts and healing for all involved, the community and Pachamama.

. A despacho is an act of love and a reminder of the connections we share with all beings, elements, spirits, and sacred places. At the deepest level, it is an opportunity to enter into the essential unity of all things, the living energy of the universe.
The ceremony brings participants into alignment:
~With their personal intent, the group intent, and gratitude to the
earth, which supports us in all our endeavors.
~With the community, through the sharing of Blessings, all of
which strengthen the luminous fibers that connect us all.
~With the world of living energy – seen and unseen – that surround us, allowing us to walk in sacred reciprocity or Anyi.
Intention. Blessing. Ceremony. Ritual. Reciprocity. Alignment.

This workshop will teach you the foundations of making a despacho and how to create your own sacred ceremony with deeper insight into the Andean mystical practices.
August 7th 6-9pm.
