In celebration of Youth Art Month, the Sioux City Art Center will feature its 36th annual Youth Art Month Exhibition, featuring work by high school students.
Youth Art Month began in 1961 as Children’s Art Month to emphasize art education’s value in children’s healthy development and learning. Over 60 years later, it has become an annual nationwide observance recognizing the importance of quality primary and secondary school art education programs.
Events like our annual student art exhibition recognize student success in art and help further encourage public support of art for all. The annual Youth Art Month Exhibition is one of the many ways the Sioux City Art Center encourages youth to explore and embrace creativity and ideas through artmaking.
The 2025 Youth Art Month Exhibition is generously supported in part by Savannah Anderson, Jeremy Craighead, Cynthia Donovan, Tom & Sarah Kleber, Dennis Kluver, Jada Kurth, Randy Limoges, Rebecca Meyer, James Palmer, Regina Roth, Bradley Smith, and Rebecca Whitlock.
Thank you to all of the art educators from all over Siouxland, who have worked to highlight their student’s works of art here at the Sioux City Art Center.
