Downtown Partners is thrilled to kick off the holiday season with Downtown for the Holidays! The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 231 presents the annual Downtown Holiday Lighted Parade Monday, November 20 at 6:15pm. Starting at Iowa Street, the parade will travel along 4th street and end at Nebraska Street where we will gather in front of the Sioux City Public Museum to light the tree and welcome the holiday season.
Registration for 2023’s IBEW Holiday Lighted Parade is closed.
Additional events on the night of the parade include:
3:00pm – 5:00pm – Enjoy free admission to LaunchPAD Children’s Museum (623 Pearl St) from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. with a donation to the Warming Shelter.
3:00pm – 8:00pm – Stop by the Sioux City Public Library ( 529 Pierce St) to decorate a paper ornament for their window tree.
5:00pm – Enjoy fresh baked goods and hot cocoa at the Sioux City Convention Center (801 4th St) & Courtyard by Marriott (901 4th St).
5:30pm – Indulge in cocoa, cider and cookies before the parade along with a delightful menu for the adults at Hardline Coffee (515 4th St).
6:15pm – The 30th Annual Festival of Trees at the Ho-Chunk Centre Atrium (600 4th St) begins with performances by the Solid Brass Bell Choir from Grace UMC and Socorra’s Performing Arts & Arena Dance Group Trees on Display: November 20th – 30th Live Auction: November 30th at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds to benefit Support Siouxland Soldiers.
6:15pm – The IBEW Holiday Lighted Parade begins at Iowa Street, the parade will travel along 4th street and end at Nebraska Street where we will gather in front of the Sioux City Public Museum to light the tree and welcome the holiday season.
7:00pm – 9:00pm – Have fun with Santa at RE/MAX City Centre (712 4th St) following the parade! Snap a photo with Santa all while enjoying hot cocoa and cookies. Check out their Facebook page for other holiday events!
