Small Business Saturday. The Day We All Shop Small.
Downtown Partners is encouraging the community to visit your local businesses in Downtown Sioux City for Small Business Saturday. On Saturday, November 26th businesses in downtown will be open for shoppers to experience their stores and begin shopping for the holidays. Downtown Sioux City is home to hundreds of locally owned shopping and dining venues. Each business may provide something special on this day, so make sure to visit www.shopsmallsux.com for more details on how to contact each of the downtown shops.
Small Business Saturday is a day encouraging communities to shop and support local small businesses. According to shopsmall.com, “SMALL BUSINESSES ARE THE HEARTBEAT OF OUR COMMUNITIES. They’re the corner stores that create jobs. The hardware stores that help build our economy. And the mom and pop shops whose very presence makes a neighborhood, your neighborhood.”
Ragen Cote, executive director of Downtown Partners states, “Sioux City’s small business community is one of the many things that make us strong. Business owners work hard every day to help energize our city and our downtown by providing local shopping and dining alternatives. Please help support the businesses that make us unique. We have also been approached this year as ‘pop-up’ shops are looking to take over vacant spaces during this day.”
Please help spread the word to family and friends about Small Business Saturday on November 26th. For local, downtown destinations, check out www.downtownsiouxcity.com, www.shopsmallsux.com, and visit Downtown Partners – Sioux City on Facebook.
