Downtown Partners Sioux City is proud to release our 2025 Annual Report, highlighting a year defined by momentum, collaboration, and measurable growth.
Guided by our mission of bringing stakeholders together to create a more vibrant and expanding downtown, 2025 was a year of activation, business development, and strategic investment.
A Downtown on the Rise
In 2025, downtown continued to strengthen across every major indicator. These numbers reflect not just activity, but impact.
- 34 new businesses opened, bringing the total to 524 businesses downtown
- 1,715 downtown events hosted
- 791 residential units and 721 hotel rooms
- 30% average event growth year over year
- 69,000 active website users
- Over 1.5 million social media impressions
Strategic Investments That Matter
Downtown Partners remains committed to supporting small businesses and enhancing the district’s physical environment. These improvements are intentional investments designed to increase foot traffic, enhance safety, and create a downtown experience people want to return to.
- $154,631 in storefront grants awarded since 2018
- $23,478 in rent relief provided since 2018
- Installation of outdoor music speakers to activate pedestrian corridors
- Ongoing beautification with 181 planters, 185 murals, wayfinding signage, lighting upgrades, and expanded public WiFi
Looking Ahead to 2026
During a facilitated board session in 2025, Downtown Partners identified key priorities moving forward. Downtown is not built by accident, it is built through partnerships.
